We will be running the Gardens Open event again this year. It’s a little different this time as it will run over 2 days. It will be on Saturday 22nd June from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm and on Sunday 23rd June from 1.00 to 4.00 pm.
In addition to the gardens there will be the plant stall and, throughout the event there will be delicious refreshments, tombola and crafts in the Wilkinson Hall. Tickets cost £5 per adult with accompanied children free. Children can do a little quiz while as you go around the gardens.
All proceeds go to the restoration and maintenance of St George’s Church. There is always work to be done on an 800 year old building but with your support the Friends have been able to give over £70,000 to the church for urgent work over the last 2 years. Please come along and support us over this weekend.
We would also like to thank Sally and her team at Local Agent Network for their support for the event.
Our Gardens Open Day in Toddington was a great success raising just over £3,500. Many thanks to those who opened their gardens and to those who came to the event. It was a very busy day with 400 visitors – tiring but very rewarding. If you would be willing to open your garden next year please contact us through our contacts page or contact Sue Ballinger on 01525 630460.
Well! It’s that time of year again – Gardens Open day! This year we have 10 gardens open in Toddington and you will be in for a real treat. Come along and enjoy the gardens, great refreshments a bookstall, tombola and our now almost legendary plant stall. Tickets to go round the gardens cost £4 per person (accompanied children go free). You can buy your ticket at the Wilkinson Hall, Toddington (next to St George of England Church) or from any of the gardens – look out for the daisies. Once again we are sponsored by Local Agent Network who have provided support with marketing and printing. All profits go towards restoration of the lovely church of St George of England, Toddington.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in the Gardens Open Day and Plant Stall on Monday, 26th May 2014. Thank you to those who opened their gardens, to all who contributed to, worked on or bought from the plant stall, to those who provided the all too tempting refreshments and to those who braved the weather to visit the 9 gardens who opened this year. In spite of the rain we raised a wonderful £1,240 pounds. Well done to all involved. We look forward to next year – if you would be willing to open your garden please contact us – see our contacts page.
