This year we combined the Gardens Open Day with craft stalls in the church where there was a wonderful display of flowers celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with arrangements for each of the countries in the United Kingdom. We had a smaller number of gardens this year but those which were open had lots of visitors and throurougly enjoyed the day. The weather was not perfect but at least it was not pouring all day which made quite a change. Refreshments were as scrummy as ever so even when it was not wonderful outside people were enjoying the cakes and rolls and catching up with friends.
The Plant Stall was as popular as ever and raised a wonderful £525. This stall has attained quite a reputation and we have people coming early to find the unusual plants.
The flowers in the church were beautiful and enjoyed by all who came to buy their ticket for the gardens and to browse the craft stalls.
We hope you enjoy this selection of images of the day.
